The Global Mission Training had successfully come to an end on the 21st of August at the Myanmar Union Mission (MYUM) Head Office with the Southern Asia – Pacific Division (SSD) Adventist Mission Director, Pr. James Brauer giving the commencement speech.

The special prayer was offered by the MYUM President, Pr. Muller Kyaw after the 44 trainees had committed themselves to the LORD to serve him with all the best and be faithful to HIS cause. The trainees had been given an intensive training for one month and this included the 28 beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, colporteur ministry, basic health principles, report writing, ministerial training and basic knowledge of the church logo and the usage. The Sabbath School Department also helped with a basic training on how to conduct SS Classes and the needed information to cover the reporting.

This training was also blessed to have the Pr. Gary Krause, from the General Conference, Adventist Mission Department, spending three days at the training site. One trainee, from the Shan states expressed his feeling by saying “This is the first time I had attended this kind of trainings and it has been a great help for me and my work”. Pr. Muller Kyaw, the Union President commented that he was very inspired with the speech given by Pr. Brauer on the “Three Angels Message” and it had helped him to have a better insight on this biblical teaching. Most of the trainees were wanting to know when the next training will be help and were looking forward to attending again. (Gavin Johns)

The Adventist World Radio (AWR) Myanmar program has been the essential tool of spreading the gospel in Myanmar. The media ministry drives the result of 14 souls baptized in Kalay district, Sagaing division in Myanmar. It was more than 500 miles away from the capital and having high mountains. The travelling is so hard to reach since the roads and transports are difficult.
