A strong wind hit UMAS building in Kalay Myo, Sagaing Division of Upper Myanmar on April 19, 2010 at 7:00 PM while the heavy rain falls. Some trees fell down and the roofing of the school was taken away. It took just only few minutes and the disaster made totally changed of the school building.
The Upper Myanmar Adventist Seminary (UMAS) is having 317 students studying and 17 teachers are working in this Seminary. The Principal Kap Lian Thang has reported to communication department that the seminary administration has started organizing for the rehabilitation of the building according to the guideline given by board of trustee.
“It is expected to start rehabilitation of the school building and complete before new school year begin on June 1, 2010”. Kap Lian Thang, the principal said.
